Born in New York, Omri lives and works in Tel Aviv. He fell in love with movies early and developed his unique writing style and direct approach to working with actors and non-actors in high school. He earned a BA with honors from the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in and his thesis film, “A Picture of my Life in my 13th Year” which he wrote, directed, and acted in won the Pitching Award at the 2016 Haifa Film Festival and the best Short Film at the 2017 Jerusalem Film Festival. While still a student, Omri began to write and direct commercials. He specializes in the orchestration of frames full of movement, color, and expression which create a feeling of cinematic enchantment. His unique style combines directing actors with daring and a poetic sensibility.
