Tal fell in love with film-making at a young age. After studying cinema in high school, Tal served as film-maker with the Israel Air Force, and subsequently went on to pursue studies at the renowned Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem from where he graduated with distinction (Best Cinematographer) in July 2017. He has shot a range of commercials, series, and films that have screened and won top awards at festivals around the world, including the Jerusalem Film Festival (Israel), the San Sebastian Film Festival (Spain), and Camerimage (Poland) – considered internationally the most prestigious festival for cinematography. Experienced in both documentary and fictional film-making, Tal’s approach to cinematography is characterized by his passion for visual art and the ability to sensitively and creatively delve into artistic ideas and new projects.
