Toby is one of the top and most in-demand cinematographers in Israel and abroad, dividing his time between shooting commercials, features and TV shows. Born and raised in the US, he fell in love with the camera at 8-years-old while away at summer camp. Years later, after finishing his service at the Air Force, he worked as a photojournalist and covered the first intifada for European and American news agencies. He later turned to documentaries, music videos, TV, features and commercials. Today, 4 kids, 4000 commercials (that’s an actual number) and numerous prestigious awards later, Toby continues working with leading brands around the world. Blind in one eye, a pilot, and 100% autodidact he is still as passionate about capturing and creating visual stories as he was when he first got paid for it, 26 years ago.
